Licensed Nurse (RN/LPN)

Job Summary/Responsibilities

• Assess the needs of the client at least quarterly

• Perform supervisory home visits for the purpose of evaluating Assistance with Daily Living Activities Assistants, companions, and sitters

• Supervise and train all in-home care staff

• Participate in the development and review of each client's plan of care

• Observe, document, and report signs and symptoms of any reactions to treatment or drugs and other significant incidents to the physician

• Teach, supervise, and counsel the client and family members about providing care for the client in the home

• Maintain communication with the care team and family members about providing care for the client at home

• Discuss/finalize home health issues with family

• Report all in-home aide concerns to Agency Administrator

• Provide annual assessment of all Omnipresent Caregivers of Florida employees

• Learn the procedures for each type of service provided

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

•  Minimum of one year of experience in the home health care field

• Current Florida nursing license required

• Must maintain current CPR certification, and be able to pass all home care competencies required for the position

• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

• Must pass comprehensive background check & drug test

 

Assistance with Daily Living Activities Assistant (PCA)

Job Summary/Responsibilities:

•  Follow instructions for client care as written by the Supervisor (required for the services provided)

• Provide or assist with Assistance with Daily Living Activities.

• Assist client with self-administration of medications which are ordered by a physician or other person authorized by state law to prescribe

• Perform incidental household services which are essential to the client's care at home

• Observe and document changes in the client's condition, family situation, or needs so that the information can be provided to the appropriate health care professional

• Report changes in the client's condition, family situation or needs to the agency’s Registered/Licensed Nurse

• Maintain positive relationships with client, family members and interdisciplinary team

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

 Education and Training

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Completion of a Florida state certified course and been tested on skills competency and has an active CHHA certification.

• Must have current CPR/First Aid certifications

• Omnipresent Caregivers of Florida provides a training curriculum that must be successfully completed prior to beginning work.  You must be able to complete training or pass competency assessment, as appropriate, for understanding needs of populations served, basic meal preparation, provision of transportation services, housekeeping, home safety, handling emergencies in the home, and infection control.

Credentials and/or Skills

Able to lift/transfer/move objects weighing up to 60 lbs alone with no assistance

Preferred Experience -  Minimum 1-year experience in the home health care field

Companion/Sitter
Job Summary/Responsibilities:

• Act as a companion/sitter for clients as needed

• Follow instructions for client care written by Supervisor (required for the services provided)

• Help with prescribed exercises which the client and in-home aides have been taught by appropriate professional personnel

• Provide or assist with Assistance with Daily Living Activities.

• Assist with ambulation

• Assist client with self-administration of medications which are ordered by a physician or other person authorized by state law to prescribe

• Perform incidental household services which are essential to the client's care at home

• Observe and document changes in the client's condition, family situation, or needs and report this information to the in-home care supervisor

• Report changes in the client's condition, family situation, or needs to the agency’s supervisor

• Maintain positive relationships with client, family members and interdisciplinary team

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Training

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Companion or sitter positions require ability to read, write, and follow instructions and completion of training or pass competency assessment, as appropriate, for understanding needs of populations served, basic meal preparation, provision of transportation services, housekeeping, home safety, handling emergencies in the home, and infection control.

Credentials and/or Skills

• Able to lift/transfer/move objects weighing up to 60 lbs. alone with no assistance

• Completion of Omnipresent Caregivers of Florida 40-hour training curriculum and assessment of competency (which must be successfully completed prior to beginning work)

• Companion or sitter positions require ability to read, write, and follow instructions

• Omnipresent Caregivers of Florida provides a training curriculum that must be successfully completed prior to beginning work.  You must be able to complete training or pass competency assessment, as appropriate, for understanding needs of populations served, basic meal preparation, provision of transportation services, housekeeping, home safety, handling emergencies in the home, and infection control.

Preferred Experience - Minimum 1-year experience in the home health care field.
